Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions before you send a project.

A quick pass at the things people usually ask first: scope, confidentiality, the tools we use, and the things we will not promise.

What should I send in the first message?

The research title, your department or university, where the data stands, any software you prefer, the output you need, and the deadline. A few lines is enough for an initial review.

Do you guarantee publication or thesis approval?

No. We focus on sound analysis and clear reporting. Academic review still depends on the study design, data quality, writing, and institutional requirements.

How is my data handled?

Project files are treated confidentially. Access is limited to the assigned analyst and reviewer. Working files are deleted within 30 days of project closure unless you request otherwise. Nothing is reused or shared publicly.

Which tools are supported?

Typical workflows include R, Python, SPSS, Stata, and Excel, depending on the project type and what you can reopen or explain later.

Is stat.bd one person or a team?

We are a research team backed by the Data Science Research Lab at University of Rajshahi. Requests are reviewed first, then routed to the statistics, survey, manuscript, or software role that fits.

Can you help if the supervisor asks for revisions?

Yes, if the revision request stays within the agreed scope or a revised scope is confirmed. The goal is to help the analysis stay coherent under feedback, not to restart the entire project by default.

What requests are refused?

Requests that require false claims, copied analysis without understanding, fabricated evidence, misleading presentation of results, or p-hacking are out of scope.

Who keeps authorship?

You do. We provide statistical support, tables, syntax, and interpretation notes. We do not ghostwrite thesis chapters or claim authorship on your work.

Should I tell my supervisor about external statistical support?

Yes, if your department or university requires disclosure of external help. We can provide a supervisor-facing scope statement on request that describes what was and was not done.

How quickly will you reply?

Initial review replies within 2–3 business days. Plan confirmation typically follows within 1–2 business days after that.

How does pricing work?

Initial scope review is free. Full pricing is quoted after review based on dataset complexity, deliverables, timeline, and whether you need consultation only or full analysis delivery.

How do I pay?

Payment is arranged after scope confirmation, typically via bKash or bank transfer. No payment is required for the initial review.

What is included in a revision pass?

One scoped revision pass is included for supervisor or reviewer comments within the agreed scope. Major scope changes (new variables, new models) require a revised quote.

Can you help me explain the analysis in a viva?

We package outputs and methods notes so you can explain the work yourself. We do not attend vivas or speak on your behalf.

What is the difference between consultation and full analysis?

Consultation is a short session to assess fit, method choice, and feasibility. Full analysis includes data work, tables, syntax, interpretation notes, and a scoped revision pass.

Can you help if I already collected survey data?

Yes. We assess whether the collected data can support credible analysis, identify cleaning needs, and recommend methods that fit what you actually have.

I am a supervisor: what can I expect from a scope statement?

On request, we provide a summary of the research question, methods applied, deliverables, what was out of scope, and any stated limitations.
