How We Handle Your Information.

What We Collect

When you use the contact form or email us, we receive the information you provide: name, email, phone number, organization, university, or department, project summary, and any files you attach. We do not sell or share this information with third parties for marketing.

With each form submission we also record a one-way hashed version of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. These are used only to prevent spam and abuse of the form, not to identify or track you.

Form Processing

Contact form submissions are handled on Stat.BD through our own inquiry endpoint running on Cloudflare, and stored in our database for project management. We do not route form data through a third-party form service.

To operate the form we rely on a small number of processors: Cloudflare (hosting and the Turnstile anti-spam check), Brevo (which delivers the notification email to our team and the confirmation email to you), and Telegram (an internal alert so we see new inquiries quickly). Each receives only the inquiry details needed to perform that function.

Job Applications

If you apply through our Careers pages, we receive what you enter: name, email, WhatsApp number, Facebook profile link, location, portfolio and work links, experience, tools, expected rate, availability, and any note you write. We use it only to review your application and contact you about work. We do not publish it or sell it.

Applications go through the same Cloudflare, Brevo, and Telegram processors described above, and we record the same hashed IP address and user-agent string to prevent abuse. We keep applications so we can reach people when a fitting project comes up. To have yours removed, email us with your name and the role you applied for.

Project Files

Research data, drafts, and feedback you share with us are treated as confidential working documents. Access is limited to the assigned specialist and internal reviewer for the agreed scope.

Retention

Working files are deleted within 30 days of project closure unless you request otherwise. Contact form messages are retained as long as needed to respond and manage the project relationship.

No Reuse

Client data, drafts, and project materials are not reused for other clients, published, or used for training purposes.

Certificates

When we issue a Research Cohort certificate, we publish a verification page at stat.bd/verify/ showing the holder’s name, cohort, dates, mentor, hours taught, and study title, so anyone shown the certificate can confirm it. We publish it only with the holder’s agreement. The page is not listed in search engines and can only be reached with the certificate’s ID. A holder can ask us to take the page down at any time.

Deletion Requests

To request deletion of your contact information or project files, email hello@stat.bd with the subject line and date of your original inquiry.

Analytics and Cookies

When enabled, Stat.BD may use Meta Pixel and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. These services may set cookies or use similar technologies to collect page views, referral sources, and device or browser information. Contact form submissions may trigger a conversion event (for example, a Lead event) so we can measure inquiry volume from ads or search.

You can limit tracking through your browser settings, ad blockers, or platform opt-outs such as Meta ad preferences . We do not sell visitor data to third parties for marketing.
