The public sample is a live 15-week program of 30 sessions, with software labs only after each idea is clear. These pages come from a one-to-one class. It is not a recorded course, and it is not the only plan we teach.

Real Papers From the First Session

Every idea arrives through a study you can later defend, not a simplified extract. Statistics is the tool the course uses, not the subject itself.

Intuition on the Frame, Notation Second

Each class starts with a puzzle from a published paper. Symbols come in once they have something to attach to.

Named and Stopped

Questions that belong later are named and left. Sample size, standard error, and regression are promised by session number, not smuggled in early.

The Plan Changes When the Class Needs It

Session 3.5 was added after three sessions of numbers nobody in the class had produced themselves. Concept first, then the lab. The syllabus is not a script.

Curriculum

Four Phases. Thirty Sessions. Labs After the Idea.

Named titles are the sessions already taught, or already titled in the decks. Later work stays as a phase description. We do not invent a finished syllabus for sessions that have not been written.

Phase I · Sessions 1–8

Statistical Foundations

The language, summaries, distributions, sampling variability, confidence intervals, and p values. Nothing in later phases arrives before this vocabulary is in place.

Phase II · Sessions 9–18

Research Methodology

Reading papers, asking a question the design can answer, measurement, bias, sampling, sample size, protocol, and ethics.

Applied Biostatistics

Choosing a method, comparing groups, effect measures, regression, and multivariable thinking, but only after the language for each choice exists.
